holiday hours

the hours at the shop are going to change just a little bit over the holiday's....actually only one day will change...wed 12/26 i'll be closed...

normal hours the rest of this week:

wed-fri: 10-6pm
sat: 10-5
sun: 11-4

i'm always closed on monday's and tuesday's...so that works out perfect for christmas eve and christmas day!

mon 12/24: closed
tues 12/25: closed
wed 12/26: closed
thurs 12/27: 10-6
fri 12/28: 10-6
sat 12/29: 10-5
sun 12/30: 11-4

then again for new years eve and new years day..closed...works perfectly this year!

mon 12/31: closed
tues 1/1: closed

open regular business hours again on wed 1/2!!

yellow gentlemens dresser...

this highboy dresser had some really pretty design work on the top, one of the drawers and the bottom...i just couldn't hide it! i left those pieces the original and painted the rest in a medium yellow tone. it turned out sort of chippy and rustic looking! i love it!

the shop is all decorated for the holidays!!

i had so much fun decorating for christmas...for the first time in the new shop!! i wanted to do a rustic greenery bow...so i went out into the woods and cut a bunch of cedar branches, hauled it all back to the shop and made a beautiful bow for the windows! i found some old fashioned looking string lights and made some garlands out of an old book. i found an old tarnished silver tray and creamer cup....and i put some greens on it and a red ribbon for my entry 'wreath'...i love it!

so i was trying to figure out what to do with the windows...i didn't want a traditional tree in the front windows..so i decided to make these little boxes, paint different shades of greens on them and stack them in the shape of a tree...and put a few little trinkets inside them! i love how they turned out!

my mom made some arrangements in some cool rusty containers for the front of the shop...they turned out awesome!

and of course i had to 'decorate' the mannequin for the holidays!
